Getting started

Every premium pick with the full written analysis behind it — the selection, the number we took, the stake in units, and the reasoning. You also get access to the member discussion on each individual pick and the complete graded history.

It varies. We publish when the research finds an edge rather than filling a quota, so a quiet week means fewer plays — not weaker ones. Any service promising a fixed number of strong plays every single week is describing a content schedule, not a research process.

Always before the event starts, which is the part that matters. Timing depends on when the research is done and when the number is right — sometimes that’s the morning of, sometimes it’s days ahead if a line looks likely to move against us.

Method

How picks and grading work

A unit is a percentage of whatever bankroll you’re working with — most people use 1% to 2%. Publishing stakes in units rather than dollars means the record scales to any bankroll, and it forces us to state our confidence before the result is known. A one-unit play and a three-unit play are different levels of conviction, and you can see which was which.

Wins divided by wins plus losses. Pushes and voids are excluded from the denominator, which is the standard convention in handicapping. The formula is printed underneath the record on every page that shows one, so you never have to guess how the number was produced.

The pick is graded as a void and excluded from the win rate entirely. It isn’t counted as a win, and it isn’t quietly deleted either — it stays in the history marked as void.

A push is when the result lands exactly on the number — a team favoured by 3 winning by exactly 3. Your stake comes back. A void is when the event doesn’t happen or the bet can’t be settled, such as a postponement or a scratched player. Neither counts as a win or a loss.

No. Every change to a pick is timestamped and written to an audit log, and picks lock once the event starts. This is deliberate: "they changed the line after the game" is the standard accusation levelled at every picks service, and the log is how we can answer it.

The important part

Risk, legality, and limits

No, and you should be sceptical of anyone who does. Sports betting carries real risk, losing runs are a normal part of it, and no analysis eliminates that. What we commit to is publishing our reasoning up front and reporting the results honestly.

No. We are not a sportsbook. We publish analysis and research. We never hold your money, place bets for you, or process wagers of any kind.

We publish information, which is broadly lawful. Whether you can act on it depends entirely on the betting laws where you are, and that’s your responsibility to check. We can’t give legal advice and nothing on this site should be read as any.

Yes. Membership is restricted to those aged 21 or over, and we ask for your date of birth at registration.

Please stop and get support. The National Problem Gambling Helpline is free, confidential, and available 24/7 on 1-800-GAMBLER, or at ncpgambling.org. If you’d like your membership cancelled, email us and we’ll take care of it — we won’t try to talk you out of it.
